Ever feel weary, overwhelmed and like giving up – even as a Christian? Ever wonder if it’s possible to rise above life’s daily challenges, overcome our struggles and fears and find a power to change our lives and impact our communities and our world? We believe this is possible, but only as we learn to re-orient our lives to the Holy Spirit (God’s presence and power within us as his people) and to the practice of prayer. In these opening series for 2012, we want to explore how the person of the Holy Spirit and the discipline of prayer can change our lives by looking at the early chapters of the book of Acts, as well as several of the great prayers of the Bible.
